  • Nematode infections caused by Gnathostoma spinigerum and Angiostrongylus cantonensis
  • Bacterial infection (Melioidosis) caused by Burkholderia pseudomallei
  • Fungal infection caused by Penicillium marneffei
  • Pathogenesis of bacterial infection

 

Awards:

  • 1975: First recipient of Mahidol University Award for Excellence in research
  • 1988: Recipient of Outstanding Scientist Award from the Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Technology
  • 1995: Recipient of Senior Research Scholar Award from the National Science and Technology Development Agency
