A total of 150 healthy adults (aged 18–59) were randomly assigned to receive either two doses of the ChulaCov19 vaccine (50 µg) or placebo. The vaccine was well tolerated. Most side effects were mild to moderate and only temporary. By day 50, participants who received ChulaCov19 developed high levels of protective, neutralizing antibodies against the original (wild-type) virus. The vaccine successfully triggered strong T-cell immune responses, which peaked one week after the second dose before gradually declining. In conclusion, at a 50 µg dose, ChulaCov19 is safe, well tolerated, and highly effective at stimulating both antibody and T-cell immune defenses in healthy adults.
